Gasoline & Dopamine is a local, enthusiast-owned and operated automotive photography and media company based in Gilbert, Arizona. Our focus is dynamic, street-level photography of cars, trucks, and motorcycles. No wedding photographers that also shoot cars here. Car photography is all we do — it’s our specialty.

We don't do boring either. We cater to the customer who wants more than just a smartphone snapshot, who wants the soul of their ride captured artfully, dynamically, and in high resolution.

My name’s Curtis. I was born and raised here in the East Valley. And I love cars. They’re my favorite thing. I paired that obsession with a camera and started G&D as a way to immerse myself in car culture and to share my passion and my art with others through my work.

What’s Included

With every shoot you will get at a minimum:

  • A pre-shoot consultation with your photographer to lock in the details of your project.

  • A curated bundle of high-resolution, professionally color-graded and retouched photos.

  • A private, secure digital gallery for easy viewing and downloading.

  • The option to turn your favorite shots into physical prints on premium art paper, high-gloss metal, or gallery-ready acrylic mediums.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Getting started is easy. Just head over to our Contact Page and drop in your details. We’ll need the basics — your contact info, details on your vehicle(s), and a quick rundown of what you have in mind for the project.

    Once you submit your request, we’ll reach out to schedule your pre-shoot consultation so we can lock in the vision, the location(s), and get your shoot on the calendar.

  • Gasoline & Dopamine is proudly based in Gilbert, Arizona, Zip Code 85296. We routinely shoot all over the East Valley and the greater Phoenix area.

    We know the best shots usually require getting out of the driveway, so we are absolutely willing to travel to track down the perfect desert highway, industrial backdrop, or urban grid for your project.

    If your preferred location falls outside our standard East Valley radius, a small travel fee will be applied to your tab to cover the extra time and mileage. We will always discuss this with you upfront during your consultation.

  • We shoot on a Canon EOS R50 mirrorless body, utilizing modern RF lens architecture. We carry three pieces of standard glass, plus extra supporting gear to ensure we always get you the best shot:

    • an 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 for adjustable wide angle shots

    • a 50mm f/1.8 Prime lens for crisp depth of field, laser sharp close ups, and low-light / night shooting

    • a 100mm-400mm f/5.6-8 telescoping zoom lens for isolating tight details and compressing distant backgrounds

    • Tripods for dynamic perspective shots

    • Circular Polarizer (CPL) filters to cut through reflections and glare

    • Lots of batteries so we can stay out all day if needed

    • Camera and chase vehicles can be arranged if required

  • It’s laid back, but highly focused. Think of it less like a stuffy formal photoshoot and more like hanging out with a fellow enthusiast who happens to bring professional photography gear.

    We always start by getting on the same page during your pre-shoot consultation. This can be in person, over the phone, by text, or online — whatever you’re most comfortable with. The goal is always to get you exactly what you want.

    Then on shoot day, we meet up, talk cars a little, then get to work.

    The vibe is always collaborative and entirely focused on making your project look incredible. No stress, no pretentiousness — just good locations, great lighting, perfect composition, and a shared passion for the culture.

    We happily shoot for individual car owners, collectors, specialty automotive businesses, brands, and anyone else who wants artful composition and high-energy, dynamic shots of vehicles.

  • Yes, we do offer Business to Business (B2B) Services.

    We are happy to take on projects for any business that needs top-tier car photography — mechanics and auto body shops, tire and rim shops, dealerships, automotive brands, social media, and more.

  • We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. There are a number of shoot packages you can review on our Services Page.

    We are also open to custom jobs. If you have a vision, we would love to help you achieve it. Details and costs can be agreed upon during the pre-shoot consultation.

  • It should never take more than a week for you to get your photos. We usually aim to have them back to you within a couple of days, depending on project size.

    We use state of the art photo retouching software and standardized editing processes to help speed things up, but we care about the final product as much as you do, so every image gets a custom pass to ensure its quality.

  • Once your photo editing is complete, you will receive a secure link to your private digital gallery.

    If there are shots that you want to get printed, just reach out, we’ll take your order, and we’ll get them made for you.

  • We partner with premium print shops to deliver custom pieces in a number of sizes on high-quality art paper, metal, or acrylic mediums.

    By default, we will capture your projects in large, high-resolution RAW files, color-graded, retouched and sharpened specifically for print, so every select is wall-worthy.

    We also have a number of beautiful car prints from our gallery available to purchase on our Prints Page.

  • No, by default Gasoline & Dopamine maintains the rights to all RAW files we shoot.

    An important part of the G&D aesthetic we deliver to our clients and showcase in our prints is the result of the time, effort, and care we put into perfecting the color-grading and retouching of our pieces by hand.

    If a client wants the rights to the RAW files for any reason, a small transfer fee can be negotiated on a per project basis.
